The AMD Ryzen 7 8700F is an 8-core desktop processor that was released in April 2024. It is part of the Ryzen 7 range, using the Zen 4 (Phoenix) architecture and Socket AM5. AMD Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) effectively doubles the core count, bringing it to 16 threads. Ryzen 7 8700F features 16 MB of L3 cache and runs at 4.1 GHz by default, but may be clocked up to 5 GHz depending on the workload. AMD is producing the Ryzen 7 8700F on a 4 nm technology with 25,000 million transistors. The chip's silicon die is made at TSMC's foundry rather than at AMD.
